The Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC) brings together in one agency:

  • The right to access government information functions – in particular, oversight of the operation of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), and
  • Privacy laws and protection, conferred by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act) and Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIP Act).
