The IPC supports United Nations Day 24 October 2020

The Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC) supports United Nations Day (UN Day) on 24 October 2020.

UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter, and the commencement of the United Nations. 24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948.

This year’s theme is UN75: 2020 and Beyond – Shaping Our Future Together.

2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the United Nations and for its 2020 celebrations, the United Nations has held dialogues around the world on a range of issues including climate crisis, inequality, new forms of conflict and violence, the rapid changes in demography and digital technologies.
