The Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC) monitors the compliance of NSW public sector agencies with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIP Act).

Desktop Review of Data Breach Policy (DBP) Compliance Report October 2024 - updated January 2025
- Note: In January 2025, a data error was detected in the dataset used for the purposes of this report, originally published in October 2024. The error identified that an agency included in the dataset should not have been included as it was out of scope of the report. This data error affected the findings of the report at section 5.1. The relevant findings and Figures 1 and 2 have been updated to reflect the corrected data.
