The IPC celebrates multiculturalism this Harmony Day, 21 March 2020.
The IPC is proud to support and celebrate Harmony Day and the extension to become Harmony Week to recognise the week-long celebration of diversity and inclusion activities.
Over the past 70 years more than 7.5 million migrants have made Australia home.
Harmony Week is a time to acknowledge and commend Australian multiculturalism and the successful integration of migrants in our community. It’s a time to reiterate the important values of inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, and our diversity of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
An integrated multicultural Australia is an essential part of our national identity. The cultural and religious traditions introduced to Australia by migrants, as well our existing traditions, collectively enrich our nation.
The IPC NSW’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan recognises diversity in the workplace and the community at large.
