Rachel McCallum departs as Information Commissioner

The IPC farewells Ms Rachel McCallum as NSW Information Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Information and Privacy Commission (IPC). Ms McCallum becomes the Electoral Commissioner of NSW on 2 December 2024.

Stepping into the role of Acting Information Commissioner and IPC CEO is Mr Chris Clayton. Mr Clayton joins us from the NSW Ombudsman’s Office where he is Chief Operating Officer and Assistant Ombudsman. Mr Clayton has a strong background in public sector governance and integrity having also previously worked at the NSW Audit Office.
