Model privacy management plan for local councils

The Local Government Division of the Department of Premier and Cabinet has released a Model Privacy Management Plan for Local Government to help NSW councils develop their own Privacy Management Plans.

Under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, councils are required to produce a Privacy Management Plan and provide a copy to the Privacy Commissioner.

The Model Privacy Management Plan for Local Government is available through the Circular to Councils 13-03.
