The IPC supports International Women’s Day - 8 March 2023
The IPC is proud to support International Women’s Day (IWD) next week on 8 March 2023, a celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while combatting the discrimination and marginalisation of women across the world.
This year’s theme is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’. Innovation is the driving force of change and is critical to achieving a gender equal future. Cracking cultural, economic and social codes that fuel a society of inequality will welcome opportunities and pathways for women to share their transformative ideas and contribute to a better future for all.
Celebrating International Women’s Day in NSW
In support of IWD, the NSW Government established NSW Women’s Week where women and girls across the state can come together to support one another and celebrate their achievements. This year NSW Women’s Week will run from 6 to 12 March, with a program of events scheduled throughout the week. You can find out more about this initiative, upcoming events and how you can get involved on the NSW Women’s Week website.
UN Women Australia vocalise their support of International Women’s Day every year through hosting various events across Australia, celebrating the achievements of women and working to address societal obstacles that hinder the gender equality.
