IPC delivers 2013 - 2014 annual report to NSW Parliament

The IPC has released the annual report which documents our achievements and challenges during 2013 – 2014 and outlines our directions for the coming year.

During the reporting period, we focused on redeveloping the website, better engagement with our stakeholder groups, reviewing our systems to provide better service to agencies and members of the public, and improved handling of information access and privacy matters by our investigation and review team.

A number of key resources and reports were also developed including the inaugural Report on the Operation of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009: 2010 – 2013 by the Information Commissioner, and new privacy resources were developed to support a successful Privacy Awareness Week 2014 campaign.

A review of the casework management system, combined with an organisational review of practices and procedures across the IPC, has streamlined our workflow and made a significant impact on our caseload.
