Call for Champions for Right to Know Week NSW 2019!
The Information and Privacy Commission is gearing up to celebrate Right to Know (RTK) Week NSW 2019 and is currently calling on NSW public sector agencies to show their support and become a RTK Champion!
The campaign, celebrated from 30 September to 6 October, aims to raise awareness of each individual’s right to access government information and promote open, transparent governance. This year’s theme for the NSW campaign is Access to Information: Leaving no one behind in the digital age.
Becoming a RTKW NSW Champion is a great opportunity to highlight your organisation’s commitment to open information and governance. Your organisation will be acknowledged for participating in the RTKW 2019 Champion program in a number of ways:
- Feature organisation logo on the IPC’s RTKW NSW 2019 web pages
- Promote your organisation’s public RTKW events on the IPC RTKW NSW 2019 web pages (if you are planning one)
- Publish photos of your agency promotion, l acknowledging your organisationin the IPC’s social media wherever possible.
The IPC will provide a range of resources to assist you with championing this year’s campaign internally and externally. Due to its popularity in past campaigns, we will also be offering each registered Champion agency a RTKW NSW 2019 branded t-shirt for the lead RTK representative to wear and promote Right to Know Week (one per agency).
To become a RTKW NSW 2019 Champion is simple and free! Simply click here to register (registration now closed) or express your interest via email.
