NSW Privacy Commissioner supports Stay Smart Online Week 2015
“As a proud partner of the Stay Smart Online Week I am pleased to support this initiative which reminds us all about online safety and security” said the NSW Privacy Commissioner, Dr Elizabeth Coombs.
Stay Smart Online Week (SSO) will be held from 12 - 16 October 2015 and this year’s theme is ‘Your Business is your business’, which covers small business and individuals’ online information security.
“The Stay Smart Online message is for everyone. Many of the things we do online involve us giving out personal and financial information so it is important that we know how to protect it. I urge everybody to only deal with trusted and reliable businesses and sellers online and to always use a secure payment method.” Dr Coombs said.
The annual Stay Smart Online Week is supported by the Commonwealth Department of Communications and the Arts and is designed to engage and educate members of our community and business through various activities to raise awareness about online safety and security.
