The New South Wales (NSW) Right to Information/Privacy Practitioners Network meets regularly to share information about the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) and privacy matters that affect staff working in the NSW public sector.
Network members come from most NSW government agencies, health services, local government and universities.
Meetings are held quarterly at Parliament House and the program consists of guest speakers, group discussions, reports on recent cases and updates on legislation and other developments. Representatives from the Information and Privacy Commission attend most meetings.
